About the Founder

Jessica Watkins
Founder · Spokane, Washington
My name is Jessica Watkins, and I built TenantGuard™ because I’ve lived through the exact gaps this tool is designed to fix. I’ve seen how quickly a housing issue can spiral when tenants don’t have a clear way to document what’s happening, and how often people fall through the cracks simply because their evidence is scattered across texts, photos, and screenshots.
I created TenantGuard™ as a pre-homelessness prevention tool — something simple, accessible, and powerful enough to help renters protect themselves early, long before a crisis becomes an eviction or a shelter entry. My goal is to give tenants a standardized, court-ready way to organize their evidence and to give caseworkers, legal aid, and city programs a tool that reduces workload and improves outcomes.
I’m based in Spokane, Washington, and I believe Spokane can become the first city in the country to deploy a unified early-intervention evidence system. TenantGuard™ was built here, for the exact challenges our community is facing, and I’m committed to making this tool part of the solution.
